QR Code Museum Adventure Lesson Plan

This isn't so much as a lesson as an activity that would be perfect for a field trip for upper elementary (4th to 6th grade.) Not all students have QR readers on their phones (I don't even have one, to test I have to borrow a friends...)

Still with all that, I have devised a fun activity for kids at the Philadelphia Museum of Art (an extremely feasible field trip location for teachers in Philadelphia.) Divide the kids into groups where at least one student has a smart phone to link the information the QR code gives them.

I created a handout with directions, located below. Since you might not see it that well, these are the three codes used on the handout:



  
You can scan these codes into your smart phone. You will be taken to three different URLs, which your students would see if divided into their separate groups (at least one smartphone in each group.)
